About the Role
As a Driver (Sa’eq), you will operate vans, light trucks, or cars to transport goods, packages, or passengers safely and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include route planning, vehicle inspections, loading/unloading cargo, providing customer service, and complying with Saudi traffic laws and Muroor regulations.
This role requires physical stamina, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to work independently. Delivery drivers enjoy daily customer interactions, while passenger drivers benefit from potential tips.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections – tires, lights, fuel, brakes, documents (istimara, license)
- Load and unload packages, food orders, or luggage safely (up to 30 kg)
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS (Google Maps, Waze) or local knowledge
- Deliver goods to customers on time, obtaining signatures or OTP (one-time password)
- Handle cash, card, or mobile payments (for cash-on-delivery or ride-hailing)
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at every stop
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicle (washing, oil checks)
- Follow all Saudi traffic laws – speed limits, seat belts, phone use bans, Salik (toll gates in Riyadh/Jeddah)
- Communicate with dispatchers or platform apps regarding delays, issues, or completions
- Keep accurate logs of hours driven, fuel purchases, and deliveries completed
- Report accidents, fines, or vehicle issues to supervisor immediately
Requirements
- Valid Saudi driving license (light vehicle license – valid for the vehicle type)
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience (delivery, taxi, or personal vehicle)
- Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents)
- Knowledge of Saudi roads, traffic rules, and major landmarks in Dammam/Khobar/Dhahran
- Ability to lift up to 30 kg (for delivery roles)
- Basic Arabic or English language skills (enough to read addresses and communicate)
- Smartphone with GPS capability and delivery app experience (preferred)
- Must have valid Saudi iqama or ability to obtain work visa (employer provides sponsorship)
